Why Therapy?

Sometimes we need support with our mental health, just like with our physical health. Therapy is one way to access that support. A one-to-one session provides a non-judgemental space in which you can speak freely about your experiences and struggles, supported and facilitated by a trained professional.

Therapy is not a magic pill or a quick fix: therapy is a healing process that necessitates active participation and investment from both the client and the therapist.

People choose therapy for many reasons. Some common examples include:

  • To access support during life transitions

  • To shift a sense of stuckness

  • To gain a deeper understanding of their experiences

  • To identify unhelpful patterns of thoughts or behaviours

  • To manage specific mental health issues

  • To engage in personal development
